A brand-new anime film from director Tomohiko Ito has been announced! The film is a sci-fi romance story called Hello World and it’s slated for release in Japan in Autumn 2019. Tomohiko Ito was the director of television anime series such as Sword Art Online and Boku Dake ga Inai Machi (ERASED). Graphinica is the studio set to animate and produce the film while Mado Nozaki is attached to write the script and Yukiko Horiguchi is attached to design the characters.

Ito was quoted in an interview with the Japanese press as saying:

“At the moment we can only inform you of the title, but please expect it. We can enjoy it not only for fans who are supporting the main staff but also for people around the world I will do my best until completion so that it will be an entertainment work!”

While they didn’t share any details, Hello World promises to be innovative while keeping traditional romance nuances intact. A key visual for the film has been released which you can check out below:
