Early Access to ‘Red Dead’ Online Beta Rolls Out

It’s been a month since the release of the single player component of Red Dead Redemption 2, which has proven to have more than enough content to keep players busy. Still, it’s been known all along that an online portion would follow shortly after the game’s release. Rockstar has shared the dates on access to the Red Dead online beta, with early access beginning tomorrow, November 27th, at 8:30am EST.

The multiplayer experience will be set in the same vast open world, with players creating customizable characters and riding solo or in groups. Rockstar intends to build on what they learned from the first Red Dead Redemption‘s online component and utilize the sequel’s enriched gameplay and open world.

From the official press release:

Explore the world solo or with friends. Form or join a Posse to ride with up to seven players; gather around the fire at your Camp; head out hunting or fishing; visit bustling towns; battle enemy gangs and attack their hideouts; hunt for treasure; take on missions and interact with familiar characters from across the five states; or fight against other outlaws in both spontaneous skirmishes and pitched set-piece battles; compete with other players or whole Posses in open world challenges and much more.

The complete list of dates for Red Dead online beta access is as follows:

  • Tuesday, November 27: All Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition owners.
  • Wednesday, November 28: All players who played Red Dead Redemption 2 on October 26th
  • Thursday, November 29: All players who played Red Dead Redemption 2 between October 26th to October 29th
  • Friday, November 30: All players who own Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
