Enter the world of Cloudpunk, a story-driven game set in the sprawling city of Nivalis where neon lights illuminate the dark night and towering architecture draped in a voxel aesthetic reach out to the stars. ION LANDS’ next title will involve Rania, the game’s player character and protagonist, being tasked with running deliveries in a futuristic landscape under a company called Cloudpunk. This semi-legal delivery company has seemingly just hired you, as it’s your very first night on the job. Let’s hope you have a good sense of direction rookie.

Aside from just running deliveries, Rania will actually engage and interact with the diverse inhabitants of Nivalis. Within Cloudpunk, players will meet and mingle with AI, androids, and humans; each of which, holding their own unique story to tell. The trailer placed an emphasis on the characters within Nivalis, so I’m assuming these NPC’s will contribute to the overall atmosphere and personality of Cloudpunk greatly.

With this game being story-driven and the plot acting as the delivery, driving force behind Cloudpunk, I’d assume players are in store for an engaging adventure. We’ll just have to wait and see though…

Here are the minimum system requirements needed to run Cloudpunk:

  • OS: Windows 7 (minimum)
  • Memory: 8gb RAM (minimum)
  • DirectX: Version 11 (minimum)

And here are the recommended system requirements for ensuring a smooth ride through Nivalis:

  • OS: Windows 7/10 (recommended)
  • Memory: 16gb RAM (recommended)
  • DirectX: Version 12 (recommended)

Cloudpunk will be available on PC sometime in 2019.
