During Google’s “Made by Google” event, the company officially unveiled the often leaked smart device. Google’s Home Hub will incorporate all the great features that the Google Home has, which will extend its capability.
Nest device access is also featured on the device. There’s also support for over 200 devices, from thousands of companies. This is definitely looking like the hub for any home.
There’s also a “Downtime” mode, that lets people get away from the busy internet life. More info on that to come soon. Parental controls will also be included, which is something I sorely need for any tech devices in my home. Children will be children, after all.
What’s more, the Home Hub will not feature a camera – for privacy reasons. No worry about if the device is watching your every move.
Update: The Home Hub is now available for pre-order on Google’s web store for $149.99. It will also be available in most stores on Oct 22nd, 2018. I wasn’t expecting it to be so cheap, that’s definitely going to undercut the Amazon Echo Snow.
