Yami Yugi just Special Summoned himself into Shonen Jump’s crossover, arena fighter, Jump Force… And I’m sure a lot of folks, myself included are pleasantly surprised at the newcomer’s announcement. Finally, Yugi will be standing tall (at least Yami Yugi will, perhaps not Yugi Muto) alongside Shonen Jump’s biggest stars which include representatives from BleachDeath Note, Dragon Ball, Hunter x Hunter, Naruto, One Piece, and possibly more.

There is, unfortunately, no gameplay to accompany Yugi’s announcement reveal, but let’s have faith in the heart of the cards that we’ll receive some footage relatively soon. I’m just chomping at the bit to see what monsters he draws onto the field; or how Yugi plays in general. Can we get an Exodia the Forbidden One summon followed up by an obliteration, please?

Jump Force featuring Yu-Gi-Oh!.

Jump Force is releasing for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime next year in 2019.
