Adult Swim made the announcement via their Facebook page that Pop Team Epic is coming to Toonami starting June 30 (31st) at 12:00 a.m. Due to its addition, Dragon Ball Z Kai has been dropped from the lineup. tries its best to describe Pop Team Epic as follows:

Poputepipikku turns absurdist comedy up to eleven with its pop culture references and surreal hilarity. With two bonafide high school girl protagonists—the short and exceptionally quick to anger Popuko, and the tall and unshakably calm Pipimi—they throw genres against the wall and don’t wait to see what sticks. Parody is interlaced with drama, action, crudeness, and the show’s overarching goal—to become a real anime.

I, personally describe Pop Team Epic as follows:

If the 4chan community turned into an anime, you would have Pop Team Epic.

It will certainly be interesting to see if this is heavily censored for American audiences but given its time slot… maybe not. If it isn’t, may God have mercy on us all.
