Julz Chan’s Reaction Theater – Overlord 1×01 “End and Beginning”

By Julius CantaraJune 23, 2018

Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of Julz Chan’s Reaction Theater. If you’re not familiar with the show, it’s where our host, Julius Cantara, puts his own unique spin providing colorful commentary on popular (and unpopular) anime series. Today, Julz Chan takes a look at another online virtual world series “Overlord,” with the first episode “End and Beginning.”

The story follows the adventure of Lord Momonga, the powerful leader of the dark guild Ainz Ooal Gown as part of a popular online game Yggdrasil. On the final day of the game, Momonga decides to spend his last few moments on the server to reminisces about what he and his guild accomplished and comments on how sad it is that the game is coming to an end. To his surprise, after the game supposedly shut down, Momonga finds himself still in the game and has become his character. In addition, the non-player characters appear to have developed personalities of their own and have begun talking to him. Deciding to play the part of his character, Momonga commands his loyal servants to help him take control of this world.

So sit back, relax, get your virtual headset, gather your armies and let’s dive right into “Overlord.” Be sure to leave any comments and/or feedback of show once you’re done watching!
