The Nintendo Switch has slowly been building up a reputation as being THE place for fighting games, and this years roster of fighting titles on Switch continues to grow. We got Blazblue Cross Tag Battle, Super Smash Bros coming later this year, and now the reveal that Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R is coming as well. This is a huge deal, as Guilty Gear hasn’t been on a Nintendo console before to our knowledge. It’s been on handhelds, but not consoles.

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R will be a Nintendo eShop title alone, no physical release, but we’re getting the full game, including a 25-character roster, loads of modes to battle in, an epic soundtrack, online multiplayer, and more. And we wouldn’t be surprised if some more surprises are in store for the game before its release.

No release date as of yet, but its set to arrive sometime this year.
