Ivy And Zasalamel Are Returning For Soul Calibur 6

Two more familiar faces are making their return for Soul Calibur 6. Both Ivy and Zasalamel have been announced as returning fighters for the reboot of the series.

Ivy, who is one of the more iconic characters of the series and has been around since the beginning. Cursed thanks to the Soul Blade, Ivy has spent her life on a pursuit to destroy the accused weapon and those linked to it. Of course, this also means that she’ll eventually have to deal with herself, as this is the very cause of her immortality.  Make no mistake, she still looks amazing. Keep in mind that since this is a reboot of sorts, Ivy hasn’t aged since this game takes place during the times of the original Soul Calibur.

Warning! Be careful on watching Ivy’s trailer at work. Some passerby may think you’re looking at something that isn’t video game related.

Zasalamel, who was introduced in Soul Calibur 4, is also back. A guardian of the Spirit Sword and an amazing warrior in his own right. Though a bit arrogant, which caused him to be removed from his clan and exiled forever. Now he is a wandering soul, fighting anyone he comes across with his massive death scythe. This man is dangerous and not to be messed with.

This brings the confirmed roster for Soul Calibur 6 to eight characters. Seven returning characters Ivy, Zasalamel, Mitsurugi, Sophitia, Nightmare, Xianghua and Kilik, and Soulcalibur newcomer Grøh. Sadly, two of my favorites, Taki and Siegfried, haven’t been announced yet. Hopefully, they will soon.

Soulcalibur 6 is heading to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC later this year.
