ICYMI: The Next Splatoon 2 Splatfest Starts This Friday

By Aaron SandersJanuary 10, 2018
Splatoon 2 Splatfest - Action vs Comedy - The Outerhaven

Get ready to pick a team and start inking your turf, because the next Splatoon 2 Splatfest kicks off this Friday! Nintendo of America tweeted a reminder today that, starting at 8PM PT on 1/12/2018, players will duke it out over Action versus Comedy in ‘a cinematic battle for the ages’.

From the official site:

The question being decided is for movie lovers and aficionados: do you prefer comedies or action movies ? That’s right, it’s side-splitters vs. explosions. Jokes vs. adrenaline. Slapstick vs. fight scenes!

(And no, you can’t choose “action-comedy.” Dems the rules!)

Splatoon 2 Splatfest - The Outerhaven

Splatfests give gamers a voice in the greatest debates of our time. Flight or Invisibility? Vampires or Werewolves? Personally, I’m still not over Ketchup losing to Mayo, even though the former is clearly superior. The winning team is decided by domination of the following categories: popularity (how many players pledged to either team), solo wins, and team wins. Splatfest themes occasionally differ between countries, but this one will be global, so look for the results late Sunday morning.

If you’ve been out of Splatoon 2 for a while, this is a great opportunity to jump back in and check out all the new content Nintendo began adding to the game back in November.
