What Did You Think About That Xbox One X TV Commercial

Well, it’s Sunday and as promised, Microsoft released their new commercial for the Xbox One X. During the recent sports event, the commercial ran and also made its way to YouTube. But now that it’s out, and I’ve watched it a few times, I don’t know how to feel.

Sure, we got bits of several games that will be on the system, Forza Motorsport 7, Assassin’s Creed: Origins, and a few others. However, why the hell was there clips of Aliens 3 and the upcoming Tomb Raider movie in there? Is there an Aliens 3 game that we somehow missed? Or perhaps some tied in with the Tomb Raider movie? Don’t get me wrong, I’m pretty much looking forward to the Xbox One X release. However, adding stuff that has no relevance with the console simply shouldn’t have been in the commercial.

I probably would have also went with a different song. Sure, Kayne West’s “Power” was fitting, but it’s been used far too much. If I was in charge of the commercial and I wanted to drive home the point that this is the system to own. I would have gone with something a little more catchy. Perhaps even Queen’s “We Will Rock You”, or Daft Punk’s “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger”.

Maybe that’s just me, but I’d love to know how you feel about the commercial in the comments below.

The Xbox One X releases on November 7th, 2017. Microsoft claims that it will be the most powerful gaming console to date. And from everything that we’ve seen, Microsoft is definitely right on the money. We’ll be reporting back once we get our hands on our Xbox One X “Project Scorpio” on release day.
