Rumor: First Round Of Xbox Backward Compatible Games Leaked

By Keith MitchellOctober 22, 2017
OG Xbox BC Line-up

During E3 2017, Microsoft announced that they were planning on releasing backward compatible Xbox original titles. We’re talking games like Crimson Skies, Capcom vs SNK, Fuzion Frenzy and more. Of course, this was greeted with monstrous applause, as gamers had been asking for this for quite some time. Including us here at The Outerhaven. This means that the OG and Xbox 360 games will be playable on the Xbox One family.

OG Xbox BC Line-up

Well now it looks like several of the original Xbox BC titles has been leaked. There hasn’t been any confirmation on Microsoft’s part as of yet, so take this as a rumor for now.

Those games as follows:

  • Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
  • Ninja Gaiden: Black
  • Red Faction II
  • Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
  • Grabbed by the Ghoulies
  • Psychonauts
  • Dead to Rights
  • Crimson Skies
  • Fuzion Frenzy
  • Sid Meier’s Pirates!
  • BloodRayne 2
  • The King of Fighters: NeoWave

Now, I don’t know about you, but is a solid list of games. Well, with the exception of KOF: Neoware. But those won’t be the only titles coming, as Microsoft has stated we’ll see much more. In addition, several companies, such as Bethesda are already onboard with the program. So I’m sure we’ll see plenty of fan favorites once the program officially kicks off.

Editor’s Note: I’m waiting on Jet Set Radio, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Mech Assault, Capcom vs SNK 2 and Need for Speed: Underground 2. I really hope these titles make it over to the Xbox One. Loved those games, but got rid of those many years ago.
