Previously, Bandai Namco announced that an open beta for Gundam Versus would be released in North America. While the title is already available in Japan, and you can import it, the title hasn’t been released in the West yet. So while we’re waiting for the eventual release, we’re going to be getting access to the game via the open beta. And now we have a date – September 2nd, 2017!

The preload will start on August 29t, start on Sept. 2nd, 12 AM PDT and will run through Sept. 4th, 12 AM PDT, 2017. Included in the beta will be access to 94 different mobile suits, which includes some of your favorite Gundams, all the striker units. It will also include several unannounced modes, for both online and offline. Finally, you will not be required to have PlayStation Plus to access the beta.

Gundam Versus is set for a Sept. 29th, 2017, release date on the PlayStation 4 in North America. If you can’t wait, the title is already available in Japan and since the PS4 is cross-region, you can play it now. Well, as long as you can read the text in the game, that is.

Either way, I just need my Gundams!
