As if you needed another reason to have a Nintendo Switch or NBA Playgrounds, if you get the latter on the former before the next big update releases, you’ll be getting a game for free! Developer Sabre Interactive revealed that the next update for NBA Playgrounds on the Nintendo Switch would add the online component to the game, as well as add new characters.

This update was intended to be included on launch for the system, but that wasn’t able to happen:

“We had every intention of launching online play for NBA Playgrounds on Nintendo Switch within days of release,” Saber CEO Matthew Karch said. “But, despite our best efforts, it didn’t play out that way. We sincerely apologize for the delay and want to let everyone know the fix will be coming very soon.”

The patch is scheduled to come out soon, and if you get the game (or already have the game on the Switch) before this update releases, you’ll get the upcoming game Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn for FREE when it releases this fall.
