DMM Pictures

Japanese Internet Service Provider and Video Game Developer, DMM, has opened a new branch of their company: DMM Pictures.  DMM Pictures will begin to assist in producing anime up to 20 titles per year. DMM Pictures will mainly deal with anime licensing as well as become part of anime production committees starting as early as this Spring.

The company is already working with other studios on upcoming anime titles. Kenka Banchou Otome: Girls Beat Boys and The Eccentric Family 2, both of which begin airing in April, are two of the titles DMM Pictures is involved with. The upcoming DIVE!! and NTR: Netsuzou Trap animes are also titles DMM Pictures will be working on as well. These titles will premiere in the July anime season. DMM is also working with Production I.G. on their Legend of the Galactic Heroes anime series.

DMM has produced games that have already been adapted into anime by other studios.  Their games include Kantai Collection (Kan Colle) and Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru.  Kantai Collection was produced by Diomedea while Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru was produced by Doga Kobo. A new series, Katsugeki! Touken Ranbu, will be released later this year in July by ufotable.
