Hearthstone: Whispers of the Old Gods Announced

Blizzard has officially announced the newest expansion for Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft and it is Whispers of the Old Gods.   The expansion is set to launch in a window from late April to early May and will contain 134 brand new cards.  Some of the new cards will be different versions of cards from past expansions that have been twisted by the Old Gods’ whispers.  Ben Brode talked about there being four Old Gods in this expansion and all four will be legendary minions.

They unveiled the first Old God in the expansion, who is C’thun. If you log in during the promotional period for the new expansion, you will receive three free card packs and the very first pack you open has a 100% chance to contain C’thun, so everyone will be able to get one of the four legendary cards for free.  There are 16 cards in the expansion that interact with C’thun, giving him power no matter if he’s on the board, in your hand, or still sitting in your deck!
