Danny Rand/Iron Fist Casting Announced For Netflix Series

With the other three Defenders Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), and Luke Cage (Mike Colter) having been casted and making their appearances, much speculation has fallen on who would be playing the final piece of Danny Rand/Iron Fist.

Hailing from England, actor Finn Jones (Game of Thrones) will be stepping into the shoes of Danny Rand, heir to a wealthy business who discovered K’un-L’un, a mystical city. Ultimately perishing, Rand trains in the martial arts and is later granted the gifts of the Iron Fist.

While the Defenders was said to air after each members’ first solo season, a second season of Daredevil was announced and will be released in about 3 weeks (March 18th) before Luke Cage or Iron Fist gets their first season, though Cage has made repeated appearances in Jessica Jones. Currently in pre-production, Iron Fist will be the last Defender to get his series, as Luke Cage is currently filming. It is currently unclear whether Jessica Jones will be getting a second season or if the Defenders will be releasing before then, as neither have announced a release date.

Jones can be seen reprising his role as Loras Tyrell in the upcoming sixth season of Game of Thrones.
