PaleyFest 2015: Arrow and The Flash trailers

By Walter MackMarch 17, 2015

Both the Arrow and Flash PaleyFest panels took place on the 14th, and both sessions mentioned a new trailer with scenes for the remainder of each show’s season. Those watching the panels through video on demand (VOD) were not treated to the trailers that the live audience got. Two days later, both trailers have been uploaded to the Warner Bros’ official YouTube channel. Check them out below and see if you’ve caught the same things I did (The Flash trailer seemed to contain more easter eggs).
Note: Both trailers are kinda spoiler heavy

0:30- Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) survives Nanda Parbat.
0:43- Shado (Celina Jade) makes a reappearance.
0:46- “Suicide Squad rides again.” There were some rumblings of a Suicide Squad TV spinoff, but with a confirmed film, the TV counterpart might not be as feasible.
0:55 to 1:02- Hey look, Daniel Shaw Ray Palmer’s (Brandon Routh) being a dick.
1:08- Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) appears to be captured by Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable). Could he be the upcoming death (see here) that’s supposed to occur later this season?
1:14- A copycat Arrow??
1:22 and 1:30 to 1:36-Captain Lance is uncovering everybody’s secret identity. The scene with Laurel/Black Canary (Katie Cassidy) might just be cut together to look like he does, but he seems to definitely have found out the Arrow (Stephen Amell) is Oliver Queen, as the last few seconds consists of Lance expressing his anger towards Queen and then finally with him busting into the foundry.
Bonus 1:23- Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) and Thea Queen (Willa Holland) makeup kiss. Yayyyyy.

0:35- Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) seems to be working on the ATOM suit in the background
0:47 to 0:55- You get a crossover, you get a crossover, EVERYBODY gets a crossover! Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) makes her way back to Central City. Palmer joins her and Laurel makes an appearance (though it doesn’t appear as if she arrives with Smoak and Palmer).
1:08 to 1:13- First look at James Jesse/Trickster (Mark Hamill)
1:19- Cisco appears to be wearing the trademark gold tinted visors that Vibe (the hero his comic counterpart becomes) usually wears.
1:30 to 1:36- Eddie, what the F$#k?!
1:42- Here, you get a crossover too, Captain Lance.
1:49- Two Flashes! This somewhat mirrors 1:14 in the Arrow trailer. While the second archer appears to be a copycat, two Flashes could potentially point towards Barry achieving time travel.
1:51- Blink and you’ll miss it, but a blonde turns around in her chair. In her background is several monitors. The actress appears to be Emily Kinney (Beth from the Walking Dead) who will face off against Felicity, according to the PaleyFest panel.

Did I miss anything? Anything you’re particularly excited about? Shoot a comment below!

Walter is a California native. He is currently in his last year of college pursuing a B.A. in English, but is often mistaken for a freshman...or a middle school tourist on occassion. His earliest gaming experience was Pokemon Red version on the Gameboy color, which he played actively. He would dabble with the Nintendo 64 and Playstation 2 for a bit before transitioning to many years of F2P MMOs. He then moved on to League of Legends, with whom he as an on and off again relationship. He currently spends most of his game time on his Playstation 4. He's also a bit of a Marvel nut.
