2023 was an incredible year for Nintendo Switch owners, and that’s why it’s not surprising that the latest financial numbers that The Big N has dropped prove that the company still knows how to make great games and give the people what they want. There are many unique morsels of information within the financial data, but the results for Super Mario Bros Wonder and the Super Mario RPG Remake are what has our attention! Why? Not only did both do well, but they did much better than you might have expected.

First off, Super Mario Bros Wonder sold just under 12 million units within its less than three months of release. So when you add the numbers that it definitely got in January? Yeah, it has over 12 million sold. Then, with Super Mario RPG, the game sold over 3 million units within less than six weeks! That not only makes it a success, but it surpasses what the original title did on the SNES!

Also, Tears of the Kingdom officially crossed 20 million units sold. So yeah, Nintendo did quite well with its gaming titles in 2023.
