My Hero Academia Reveals Next Movie: You’re Next!

By Todd BlackJanuary 29, 2024
My Hero Academia

It’s been a busy 24 hours or so for My Hero Academia fans. First, a poster for Season 7 dropped, and now, the next movie within the franchise has been revealed! The movie will be titled “You’re Next!” which is a reference to the famous line that All Might gave to Izuku to highlight that it was his turn to take over from him once the former No.1 Pro-Hero defeated All For One for the “final time.” But the twist with this film, as the trailer below highlights, is that someone else took that message to heart.

Specifically, a new villain is coming into play, and scenes within the trailer showcase that this story takes place within the events of the previous season when the war for Japan began. You can tell this by the outfits that characters like Deku and Bakugo are wearing. My Hero Academia You’re Next is releasing in Japan on August 2nd. No western release window has been given yet.
