Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Have Teammates Use Skybound Arts More Often

By Keith MitchellJanuary 30, 2024
Granblue Fantasy: Relink - It's Zeta!

I’ve been playing Cygame’s upcoming fantasy action RPG, Granblue Fantasy: Relink, ever since it was released as an early access title, and let me say that I love the game. However, out of everything I enjoyed, there’s one piece I wasn’t a fan of, and that’s when I’m playing offline with the AI-controlled teammates, who seem to want to hold on to their SBA or Skybound Arts meter rather than use it.

However, there is a way to get them to use their Skybound Arts more often, and we’ve got that information for you below.

Changing up your AI-controlled teammates Skybound Arts usage

You’ll have to make a few changes to stop your AI-controller partners from holding on to their SBA meter. To do this, head to the System options and then Game Options.

In the Game Options section, head to Gameplay.

Here, you’ll find several options to tweak. If you want your teammates to do their SBA or Skybound Arts on anything, you want to change the “Skybound Art Target Priority” to “None.” By default, this is set to “Boss.” This way, if your teammates have SBA or Skybound Arts stored up, they will use them instead of waiting to use them on a boss. Changing this setting is helpful when doing quests that don’t feature bosses, such as the Horde quests where you’re racing against the clock.

Otherwise, leave it set to “Boss,” this way, your teammates will only use the SBA or Skybound Arts on Bosses.

I will say that despite either setting, this doesn’t always work. I’ve had plenty of times when my teammates had meters stored for an SBA with a boss ripe for being attacked, and they didn’t do anything. It’s mildly frustrating, and hopefully, Cygames will adjust the logic for the AI teammates adjusted

Granblue Fantasy: Relink was released on January 29, 2024, as an early access title for the PS4 and PS5. The title will officially be released on February 2, 2024, for the PS4, PS5, and PC (Steam). Look for our review of Granblue Fantasy: Relink to be released shortly.
