Capcom Considers Ongoing Development for Mega Man

By Josh PiedraJuly 25, 2024

Capcom announced during the 45th General Shareholders meeting that they are considering creating games for the Mega Man franchise and making it an ongoing process. They cited that Mega Man is a highly-valued intellectual property for them.

Of course, it was nearly a decade ago that Capcom announced that they wanted to develop the Mega Man brand over the next ten years and the only new game that resulted from it was Mega Man X DiVE Offline. Other titles that were released were simply Legacy Collections.

We will see what the future holds for Mega Man; however, for the past few years, there has been a rumored new game in development under the codename Rockman Taisen. Whether that comes to fruition or not remains to be seen.
