Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers Anime announced

By Kevin KellyJune 20, 2024

Guilty Gear Strive will be getting an anime called Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers. A website has already been created as a subsection on the official website. Arc System Works has also announced this on its website.

With series protagonist Sol Badguy and Syn Kiske headlining, it feels as though this anime will be covering pre or post-Guilty Gear Strive. The mysterious figure in the background may have more questions than answers to give now. Guilty Gear has always taken an anime-style aesthetic since its’ 1998 debut on the PlayStation. Most recently, thanks to Arc System Work’s tireless pursuits to mimic it with games such as Dragon Ball FighterZ, one of the company’s flagship titles will be crossing over to this medium with ease.

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing’s Shigeru Morikawa will be joining Norimitsu Kaiho and Seiji Mizushima as Directors. The series composition will be handled by Norimitsu Kaiho. Norimitsu has already been a part of the Guilty Gear series through the novelization and drama CD projects. There is hope for the anime to be faithful to the material set forth over the years. Seiji Mizushima will be the Associate Producer. Seiji is known for his work on Shaman King, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Mobile Suit Gundam 00. Sanzigen Studios, the creators of the Find Your Way music video, will be working on this anime.

Guilty Gear Strive Anime At Anime Expo

With Slayer already out in the wild for Guilty Gear Strive, and the critical acclaim from this trifecta attached alone, the hype for this anime is real. There will be a panel on July 4th at Anime Expo to discuss the anime at length with Norimitsu Kaiho, Seiji Mizushima, and Strive producer Ken Miyauchi.
