DreamHack Dallas 2024 Tourney Results Are In

By Kevin KellyJune 3, 2024

DreamHack Dallas 2024 has come and gone with several great matches this past weekend. Especially one of the highlights with Nobi vs Rangchu for Tekken 8 with the most wildest picks for a major. Rangchu picked Panda over his normal Kuma run. Even though both bears have some of the same tools, with their differences: Panda is considered a lower-end tier character with Dragunov on the upper end (according to Steelseries). All in all, to have Nobi force a reset to clutch.

We’ve taken the top 8 from each category. MenaRD took a backseat from his Evo Japan win to 5th place regardless of his hyperbolic time-chamber training to put Akuma in as a pocket. NuckleDu is in his stride, clinching the last place compared to his CPT North American East 1st place spot in January.

YouTube creator Tampa Never Sleeps has each run round for round. The top 8 placers of the Tekken 8 and Street Fighter VI tours qualify for the $1M prize pool Esports World Cup in Riyadh this year. This is also a Tekken World Tour Challenger event, so points will be added to get to the finals. Menard was already going to the EWC because of a previous qualification win, so Higuchi, being 9th, will be going from this run.
