Splatoon 3 Summer Nights Event Announced

Summer is here and we're ready to party!

Splatoon 3

As we’ve noted multiple times on the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast recently, Splatoon 3 has been quite a trip in 2024. There have been weird Splatfest topics, there have been unpredictable winners in those events, I’m still not entirely sure what Side Order was, and so on. However, it’s clear Nintendo is doing its best to keep things as fun as possible, and so, with the upcoming Sizzle Season approaching, The Big N wants to ensure you enjoy your “Summer Nights.”

As you can see below, Nintendo is doing this literally by holding a Splatest event focusing on the theme of “Summer Nights.” We don’t know what the theme of the Splatfest will be, but it’s apparently that everyone is dressing up like it’s summertime in the Splatlands:

A special Summer Nights #Splatfest is scheduled to drop during Sizzle Season 2024!

Come visit Splatsville and soak up the sun, sounds, and summer vibes. Stay tuned for the event schedule and theme! pic.twitter.com/L50dHAtHb2

Oh, and that doesn’t just include player characters, but The Squid Sisters, Off The Hook, and Deep Cut, too!

During Summer Nights, the Squid Sisters will make an appearance in special outfits!

They’re hyped up with shimmery tropical looks that are perfect for festive nights. Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass owners should plan on heading over to Inkopolis Plaza once the Splatfest begins! pic.twitter.com/vddOc0hhsR

So, yeah, Splatoon 3 will be the place to be during the Summer season, and it’ll be fun to see what they crank out.
