LittleBigPlanet 3 Online Servers Are Taken Offline Indefinitely

By Scott AdamsApril 19, 2024

In January 2024 PlayStation mentioned they were taking the servers offline for LittleBigPlanet 3 for maintenance to fix some technical issues. Sadly today we got word from the PlayStation website that the servers for this game on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 are no longer planning to come online.

Due to ongoing technical issues that resulted in the LittleBigPlanet™ 3 servers for PlayStation®4 being taken offline temporarily in January 2024, the decision has been made to keep the servers offline indefinitely.

All online services including access to other players’ creations for LittleBigPlanet 3 are no longer available.

User-generated content (UGC) stored locally on your PS4™ will remain available.

Any new UGC you create can be played on your PS4 but not shared.

Offline features such as the campaign will remain playable.

Join Sackboy® and his amazing team of new friends on a wild adventure across a mysterious, unexplored world packed with endless surprises.

Play with all of the brilliantly unique talents of OddSock, Swoop and Toggle as the newcomers work together with Sackboy® to solve puzzles and explore the creativity-powered planet Bunkum.

You can also dip into endless creativity: grab hold of a sack of brand new tools to quickly and easily design your very own games and levels.

Meet the gang:

• Bound over walls as the quick and agile OddSock.

• Glide through the skies as the majestic Swoop.

• Switch Toggle’s size to play as a large, heavy strongman or a small, light speedster.

Play Create Share:

• Broadcast your creations and gameplay clips with the PS4 SHARE button.

• Add your voice or any sounds you like to your created levels with the PS4 headset.

• Draw shapes to create your own levels with the DUALSHOCK®4 touch pad.

You still have access to the game but you are no longer able to share the creation and assets online unless it is just with the PlayStation 4 online services it already has. You no longer can play content from other users. Rest In Peace Sackboy User Generated Content. LittleBigPlanet 3 has officially gotten a lot smaller. Hopefully, there may be some good news on the horizon for LittleBigPlanet fans, but today is not that day. If you do want the online content you can still download some of it from a fan archive called Little Big Archive.
