Raven and Azucena Added to the Tekken 8 Roster

By Keith MitchellAugust 6, 2023
Tekken 8 Azucena Reveal 1920x1080

Raven and Azucena were revealed as the next Tekken 8 roster additions during the EVO 2023 Tekken 7 Top 6 Finals.

Raven is a character making a return to Tekken after being absent and replaced by Master Raven during Tekken 7. While Azucena is a newcomer to the series and refers to herself as the “Coffee Queen.” While she really loves her coffee, her fighting style looks to revolve around evasion maneuvers.

Both characters look amazing, and while I love Raven’s redesign, I think Bandai Naco really crushed Azucena. She’s a fantastic reveal and addition to the Tekken 8 roster., and I’ll be looking forward to getting my hands on her when Tekken 8 is released.

Check out the reveal trailers below.

The reveal of these characters also solidifies the Tekken 8 roster leak from the data-mined Tekken 8 Closed Network Test that took place last week. The same test is still being played using a hack that has Bandai Namco a tad frustrated. If these leaks are to be completely believed, there’s still one more character to be revealed, and it’s rumored that character is the daughter of thee still missing, but possibly dead, Heihaci Mishima, Reina.

Getting the news of both characters is exciting, but sadly we still don’t have a Tekken 8 release date. Given how fast the characters have been, we’re assuming we’re going to get a very late 2023 or an early 2024 release date.
