Wattpad WEBTOON Studios announced that it will be bringing a series of can’t-miss virtual panels of superstar authors and artists to the 15th annual New York Comic Con) from October 8-10, 2021.
As virtual panels that viewers around the world can access and enjoy online, Wattpad WEBTOON Studios will bring fans inside the worlds of some of the most exciting names from WEBTOON and Wattpad, including producer, entrepreneur, and New York Times bestselling author of the After series, Anna Todd; Míriam Bonastre Tur, creator of the global WEBTOON phenomenon and graphic novel Hooky; and Ariana Godoy, author of the Wattpad sensation A Través De Mi Ventana, which is currently being adapted as a Netflix Original Film.
Wattpad WEBTOON Studios outlined their lineup for NYCC as follows:
Building Worlds for Women: Wattpad Books Authors on Writing Female Driven Sci-Fi/Fantasy – Fantasy and sci-fi have long been dominated by male readers, but there have always been talented women writers building rich worlds to escape to. From swashbuckling adventures, to dystopian futures with few survivors, to lands where dragons roam, Wattpad Books has published some of the best new female voices, creating dynamic, powerful, and captivating stories in which women are front and center.

Míriam Bonastre Tur, author of the WEBTOON sensation HOOKY(published by HMH Books), and Wattpad’s Ariana Godoy, author of A Través De Mi Ventana (published by Penguin Random House and in development as a Netflix Original Film), will discuss how they’ve found success and built a global fanbase for their work online, and the process of having their work adapted for TV, film, and published books with Wattpad WEBTOON Studios.
