Chalk one more up for the rumor mill, as notable gaming insider Laura Kate Dale has revealed on her Twitter account that the sequel to Beyond Good and Evil will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch for one full year, in both digital and retail form.

In addition, Ms. Dale announced that the Switch would be getting a Rayman Legends port to be announced for Q2, as well as Rabbids Kingdom Battle, the Rabbids Mario RPG may get pushed back into September.

BGE2 codename is Odyssey. Exclusive to Switch for 12 months only, retail and digital versions. after 12 months digital on PS4 and XB1.

Now, while LKD is a very reputable source, please note that this is all rumor and speculation, and will not necessarily reflect the Nintendo Switch event on January 12, 2017.  Our take on this is that we can’t see how this is actually real. The last time Ubisoft banked on the sales of a new system, they got burned pretty hard. ZombiU, a once Wii U exclusive title sold poorly and forced Ubisoft to port the title to other platforms, while Rayman Legends development was changed mid-cycle to avoid the same fate. (source)

Stay tuned to the Outerhaven as we breakdown the Switch Event live on January 12, 2017.
