No Plans to Release Mass Effect: Andromeda For the Nintendo Switch

There’s a lot of rumors flying around about this game and that game ending up on Nintendo’s upcoming system, the Nintendo Switch. However, it looks like Bioware’s Michael Gamble has decided to get in front of one rumor surrounding Mass Effect: Andromeda and shuts it down.

“Yeah, not right now, no. We’re not planning on it. If the Switch launches and everyone’s just yammering for Mass Effect, who knows. We never want to close doors like that. — Michael Gamble”

So for now, Bioware’s focus is getting the title completed for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. Since the door isn’t closed on a  possible Nintendo Switch version, I’d imagine the company will want to wait to see how the sales of the system go. More importantly, is if they’ll be able to do the game justice on the Nintendo Switch’s hardware, as it’s reportedly weaker than the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is currently in development for the PS4, Xbox One and PC, there is no announced release date as of yet.
