Nioh Is Getting Two Different Versions, Pre-orders Outlined

Koei Tecmo’s upcoming “Samurai Souls” title Nioh, is set for a February 7th, 2017, release date and I’ve been counting down the days. However, I wasn’t fully expecting to see any information regarding any pre-order bonuses until December 2016 at the earliest, but seems I was wrong as they were recently announced today.

Nioh will get two versions of the game – A Standard Edition and a Digital Deluxe Editon. Both editions will include the full game, however, the Digital Deluxe will include several bonuses.

Standard Edition

  • The full game

Digital Deluxe

  • The full game
  • Weapon pack with five new weapons
  • PS4 Avatar
  • Season Pass

If you choose to pre-order or purchase Nioh via the PlayStation Store, you’ll also receive a black armor and a dynamic theme for the PlayStation 4. The pre-order link doesn’t appear to be live as of yet.

If you pre-order via either versions via the PlayStation store or purchase Nioh during the first 2 weeks of release, you’ll also receive a crimson red armor, which is based on the legendary samurai  Yukimura Sanada.

Totally can not wait for Nioh to be released, though I’m not a fan of being forced to pre-order via the PlayStation store. I also wished we were getting some sort of physical goodies via in-game items, as they tend to make the pre-ordering a bit more appealing. Nioh releases on February 17th, 2017, for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro.
