By Keith MitchellNovember 18, 2016

During the 2016 The Game Awards show,  the man who gave us the world of Metal Gear, Hideo Kojima, will receive the Industry Icon Award. This was recently announced via a tweeter over at The Game Awards account and honestly, this is well worth it. Hideo Kojima has always been in the forefront of the gaming industry, has given us fantastic and enjoy games and we’re now awaiting this next title.

In truth he should have received the award last year, however, he was barred from attending the event by Konami. This year, he’ll finally get his award!

The 2016 Game Awards takes place on December 1st, 2016, and starts at 8:30 PM ET / 5:30 PM PT.
