First EVO Japan tourney to take place in 2018

By Keith MitchellSeptember 16, 2016

There’s been talks about setting up a new Evo Championship Series, or just Evo, over in the “Land of the Rising Sun” for a while now.  It just seems like those talks were faced with bad luck, one after another, however, there is good news. As of yesterday, it has been confirmed that Japan will finally be home to their own version of the event, Evo Japan.

Now, if we can only get them to bring back X-Men vs Street Fighter!

There hasn’t been any announcement yet on how both Evo events will co-exist, but I’d imagine this was already planned out. One thing is for sure, the fighting game tourney scene just got a lot more interesting with this turn of events.
