While everyone is happily cheering the release of Sega’s upcoming Sonic Generations, I on the other hand am actually filled with rage (not the game). Why am I so freaking up? It’s simple actually, Sega is up to their freaking dumb tricks again. I’m talking about releasing the Sonic Generations Collector’s Edition in Europe and Japan only. Sega with it’s infinite wisdom has decided to extend it’s middle finger to the American Sonic gamers, despite giving us all of their crappy assed Sonic titles (not counting DS games) they refuse to give us something that is truly awesome. How awesome you ask? Just take a look.
The Sonic Generations Collectors edition includes the following:
- A collectible figurine featuring both classic Sonic and modern Sonic
- An individually numbered commemorative “Gold Ring”
- “20 Years of Sonic Art” book
- “20th Anniversary Sonic Soundtrack” featuring tracks handpicked by Sonic Team
- “History of Sonic: Birth of an Icon” documentary
- Limited edition lenticular packaging
- Bonus additional downloadable content
A freaking Gold Ring, they get a Gold Ring! What do the American gamers get….hmmm:
- Casino Night’ Pinball Stage
- Super Sonic Costume
- Theme
- A Slap In The Face
Wow, thanks Sega. Way to keep it classy I guess. I suppose I could import it but why? Why support a company who could care less about me as a consumer? Next you’ll tell me that Phantasy Star Online 2 is Japan only.
