Hello there! I’m Keith D. Mitchell, Editor-in-Chief of this website, nice to meet you. A few years ago several friends and myself decided to start a gaming podcast, our own little place on the net where were could talk about video games and what we liked, what we didn’t and voice our own opinions. Little did we know that this passion would become the launching board for what we’ve become today. The Outerhaven Productions went from just a simple podcast to a website that has been providing coverage of not just video games, but also comics, mangas, anime, technology and just about anything that you squeeze under the geek culture umbrella. From current news, reviews, monthly podcasts that cover both video gaming and comics, to attending and covering events such as IndieCade, New York Comic Con, PAX East and many others. The Outerhaven Productions has been on a growth spurt as of recent year, transforming from a smaller website to one that receives between 40,000 – 60,000+ unique visitors a month.
With that all said, we feel there we aren’t anywhere near our potential and we want to continue to grow, with your help that is. We’re hoping that you feel just as we do that a smaller voice is just as important in a sea of larger voices and that anyone can make a difference if they yell loud enough. We’re not as big as some of the other websites, however, we do have the very same passion and love for what we do that drives us forward and causes us to continue to strive to reach the top. We want to make The Outerhaven Productions bigger and better, but sadly we don’t have the money to keep doing this on our own.
We don’t have the capacity to grow the organization any further out of our own pockets, and we don’t want to plaster ads all over the website as it looks tacky and everyone hates ads so we’re looking to you to help us out. We current have two different ways that you can help us in that regard; Patreon and Paypal Donations. The Patreon donation will set you up for a recurring monthly donation, so please keep that in mind. If you prefer to do a one-time donation, then the Paypal option would be what you’re looking for.
Both options are 100% completely up to you, you aren’t obligated to donate, however, we would appreciate it if you could and any amount will help us reach our goals. All donations will go towards helping us create better and more engaging content, helping us pay for monthly server dues, purchasing equipment to help us cover events and ending members of the team to events such as PAX East, E3, San Diego Comic Con and New York Comic Con. All Patreon donations will be disclosed at the end of every month as well.
Let me make it clear, we’ll continue to do what we do regardless if we get a donation or if you want to help support us or not. Your assistance, however, will make it that much easier for us to get better and do better.
