There is a GOD! I don’t know if it was the sheer awesomeness of EA’s Battlefield 3’s trailer of they decided that they were making another epic for the PC version of Modern Warfare 4, but regardless Modern Warfare 3 will support dedicated servers for the PC version. I got to say I’m extremely pleased that this decision was made and I don’t care why it was done, just that it was done and I now can pick up the game. Especially since I skipped on Modern Warfare 2, having no dedicated server support for a PC game was kind of silly (You hear me IDsoftware?).
“The big announcement today is that we’re supporting dedicated servers for PC, which is really cool,” Noah Heller, who works at Beachhead Studios on Call of Duty stats service Elite, told Eurogamer at Gamescom 2011.
“And of course we’re working really hard right now on the customized version of Elite for the PC [versions of Call of Duty games], because it’s an open platform and has some challenges.”
Finally some common sense and now I can go back to plan A and buy both Battlefield 3 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3!
